Brian R. Mason
His Story

Attorney Brian Mason grew up in the small town of Harrisburg, Oregon. His high school class graduated just 49 students! After high school he played college basketball at a small college in Oregon before transferring to the University of Oregon to focus on school.
He eventually received his Bachelor of Science in Sociology with an emphasis on Criminal Deviance from the University of Oregon. While receiving his undergraduate degree Brian worked part-time for an industrial contractor and interned with the county courthouse and jail.
After his undergraduate work, Brian received his law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California. During law school Brian received the Jefferson Medal for receiving the top grades in the areas of criminal law, civil procedure, trial practice, California evidence, and legal writing.
During law school Brian spent three years working full time for Mercury Insurance Company's in-house counsel defending against personal injury lawsuits. Brian also worked for a local bankruptcy attorney for more than a year during law school.
In 2007, Brian received a Pro-Bono Honors Award for volunteering more than 300 hours of legal service to help defend indigent criminal defendants in multiple first-degree murder cases.
Brian has appeared in California State and Federal Courts hundreds of times on multiple Criminal Defense, Bankruptcy and Personal Injury cases.
In November of 2009, Brian was invited to lecture at the University of San Diego in the Masters in Business and Executive Leadership MBA program. He has also lectured at various seminars throughout San Diego County in front of hundreds of realtors, mortgage brokers, and many other in the general public.
In 2011, Brian began working as an expert legal correspondent on radio programs on KCBQ 1170 AM and KPRZ 1210 AM. Brian was interviewed in regards to multiple high profile cases, including the Casey Anthony Murder Trial and the Wal-Mart Class Action lawsuit.
Currently, Brian is an active member of the State Bar of California, the California Young Lawyer's Association, the San Diego County Bar Association, the North County Bar Association, the Criminal Defense Bar Association, the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum, the California Bankruptcy Forurm, the American Association for Justice, the International Sociological Honors Society, and the Defending Immigrants Partnership.
